Long Time, No See!
I apologize for the lack of updates here. I was shocked when I realized the last update was back in June. Anyway, lots of news to catch you up on, so read on.
Update on the New Album
I've been hard at work this year working on the first new A23 material in many years. I've got about 14 new songs in various stages of musical completion and have been working on the process of fleshing them out into fully-realized productions. I haven't done a lot of lyric-writing yet, as that part usually comes a bit later for me. Anyway, I'm really happy with how these songs are sounding and think it's some of the strongest stuff I've written in a long time. But then again, the artists always say that, don't they? While I am shooting for a fall release for the album, you'll have a chance to hear a new track called “Gone” on an upcoming charity compilation Metropolis Records is putting together to benefit Passenger Recovery (more on that below).

Metropolis Records Raising Funds for Passenger Recovery
I'm a little behind everyone else, but I wanted to make sure I posted this. In memory of the late Dave Heckman (founder of Metropolis Records), the Heckman family and Metropolis Records are partnering with Passenger Recovery, an organization started to help touring musicians in recovery find support meetings while they are on the road, that has since expanded to offer vital support to the recovery community.
Dave, like many in the music industry, struggled with alcoholism, and the Metropolis Records family wants to honor his memory by helping others who face the same struggles. The road can be a perilous place for artists struggling with addiction, and it's a community that has largely been underserved when it comes to support options. Thus, the label has started this fund-raiser for Passenger Recovery to help them provide this much-needed support. Additionally, the label will be releasing a compilation of exclusive tracks (including a new one from yours truly) with the proceeds also going to Passenger Recovery.
If you are able, please contribute to this amazing cause.
