Assemblage 23 Launches Video Tour Diary
Just a note to let everyone know that as a part of our upcoming U.S. Tour, we've launched our own YouTube channel, A23CompassTour2010. This will be the area where we'll upload an "almost realtime" video tour diary that will not only keep fans up on the latest news regarding the tour, but it'll also give a peek behind the scenes of the tour and let fans see some aspects of the tour they are rarely privy to. The first tour diary entry is now posted and ready for viewing. It consists of info on how you can follow the progress of the tour on the various social media sites as well as a montage of footage shot on our recent European tour. Because YouTube can occasionally get a bit trigger happy with what it incorrectly perceives to be copyright violations (the first tour diary entry was blocked initially because it contains an A23 song), I will also be posting the tour diary entries on our MySpace.
Assemblage 23 Goes 8-Bit?
An enterprising fan who make chiptunes under the name Inverse Phase has created an instrumental cover of Assemblage 23's "Impermanence" utilizing old school gaming hardware. You can check it out here. |

Assemblage 23 European Tour a Big Success Thanks to everyone who came out to support us on our European tour! I don't think we've ever had such fun audiences and it was an absolute blast getting to meet so many of you. We hope you enjoyed hearing the new material live as much as we enjoyed playing it!

Australian Tour Indefinitely Postponed I am sorry to announce that the Australian tour we had been planning for later this year is now indefinitely postponed. Joseph Chillari, the promoter we work with to book shows down under, recently had to undergo emergency heart surgery and thus needs to drastically lower his activity level for the time being. We are, of course, disappointed, but Joseph's health is way more important than any tour. We wish him a speedy recovery and will work to come see our Australian fans and friends when schedules allow!

Assemblage 23 Online Store To Remain Online During Euro Tour, But With Delayed Shipping
Because we'll be traveling from show to show via plane and thus are subject to ever-increasing weight restrictions with our luggage, we're not going to be able to bring any merch along for the European tour. However, I will leave the Assemblage 23 Online Store up and running while we are gone so anyone who wants to get their hands on some merch can do so. Please note, however, that any items ordered after February 1st, will not actually ship until I get back on the 24th. So this is the last week to place a merch order and have it ship right away. We're still shipping all orders with a free signed Compass postcard while supplies last, too!

A Look at the Year Ahead Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you had a great New Year's Eve and are over your collective hangovers by now. It's hard to believe another year has come and gone, so now seems like a good time to look to the year ahead. For Assemblage 23, 2010 is going to mostly be about the touring. We already have European and US Compass Tours Planned, and hope to schedule tours/dates in Australia, Canada, and Mexico later in the year. As always, the latest info can be found in the Live section. We hope to see lots of you out at the shows!
We are going to be trying something new on the U.S. tour that I am pretty excited about. I can't go into details too much at this point, but suffice it to say, it'll give fans an unprecedented 'behind the scenes' look at the tour in a way I haven't seen other bands try. I'll have a more detailed announcement in May.
Free Signed Postcard With All Online Orders Place in January! The free shipping promo code we ran last month has expired, so I have a new offer to our fans for January. Any order placed in the month of January will include a free 2-sided promotional post card for "Compass" signed by yours truly. You don't need to ask for it, enter a coupon code, or anything, this is just added to your order automatically. So if you didn't get what you want for Christmas, why not treat yourself to something you DO want? : )
Russian Date Added to European Tour
Assemblage 23 has added a date in Rostov-on-Don, Russia on February 19th at Podzemka. For a complete list of upcoming shows, check out the Live page.

Free Shipping from Now Until the End of December at the Assemblage 23 Online Store! The holidays are coming up and the Assemblage 23 Online Store is packed with perfect gifts for the A23 fan in your life. Since we know the cost of all those gifts can add up this time of year, from now until the end of December, if you enter the coupon code SANTAROCKS in the 'special instructions' portion of the order form, we will deduct the shipping cost from your order. That's right - your order ships absolutely free no matter how much stuff you order! Please note that this discount will not show up until your order actually ships, so don't panic when the shipping costs are included on your order confirmation. Nothing is charged to your card until the order ships, at which time the shipping cost will be deducted. Note also that we can't retro-actively refund your shipping costs if you forget the code, so DON'T forget it!
European and US Tour Dates Announced, Australian and Canadian Tours Planned In case you haven't heard, we've added the dates for our upcoming European and US tours. We just added a show in Minneapolis for the US tour, so the dates listed are complete as of now. We're still awaiting confirmation for about 5 more shows in Europe, and will announce those once everything is confirmed. Additionally, an Australian tour is being worked on to follow immediately after the US tour, and we hope to do a full Canadian tour for the first time ever later in 2010. As always, when we have info regarding the dates, we'll pass them on! In the meantime, be sure to check the 'LIVE' section of this site for a full listing of current dates.
